Big Blue miss

In the end, the Giants were probably the least deserving team to miss the playoffs. While I squawked about the Tampa Buccaneers, even though they had a weak schedule, they beat all the teams they should beat. And even came up big at New Orleans on the road in the finale. Even though they had a horrible loss to the Lions, the Packers beat the Giants, 'nuff said.
All New York had to do was beat Philadelphia or Green Bay and it was on to the playoffs. They blew a 21-point fourth-quarter lead to the Eagles and were blown out by the Packers.
Still, the Giants could get in with some help. They didn't get last weekend when the Saints beat the Falcons. But beat Washington and have Chicago beat Green Bay and Big Blue is in. The Giants beat the Redskins, but the Pack beat the Bears. Good for Green Bay. I would say the Giants did their part, but they didn't. If they did, they wouldn't have been in this position.

Sorry, but while a case could be made that it was pretty equal between the Pack, the Bucs, and the Giants for that last playoff spot, I have to knock the G Men out for that loss to the Eagles. At home, no less.
